We have tried just about every swaddle gadget out there. We had a hard time finding one that worked because our baby is very long for his age. After finding his swaddle blanket loosely wrapped around his neck, we finally learned about the sleep pea pod. I put the pod on him as soon as it arrived in the mail, and he immediately got a huge smile on his face! I think the security of swaddle combined with some flexibility for movement did it for him. Beyond safety and a good night's sleep, there were other benefits. He never scratches his face at night because the pockets catch his arms. (I was not sure the pockets would keep him in, but they do!) He can still chew on his hands through them, which he really enjoys. My husband is in charge of mid-night diaper changes and he has a much easier time slipping the pod on than trying to figure out a swaddle blanket or getting fasteners down just right. It is less disruptive to baby's night to just slip the pod on. Of course, the best part is walking in to get him up in the morning and seeing a big grin hidden behind his sleep-pea-pod covered hands!"
